Thanks to our worldwide network of experienced staff and collaborators, who translate into their native languages only, we guarantee translations that are accurate and fit for purpose. To ensure they are, we insist that our specialist translators also have a very good command of the languages they translate from.
To ensure that the version in the target language is a precise rendering of the version in the source language, the target text has to be checked and edited by our own
editors, whether or not the texts are to be published.
This procedure is known in our business as the
“4-eyes principle”, as laid down in the DIN ISO 9001
and ISO 17100 standards applying specifically to
our line of business. Only in this way can we certify
that a translation is correct.
If a translation is needed for a government office or a public institution and a court, our sworn translators can certify the translations they have made. If necessary, translations can be legalised with an apostille by a Regional or Higher Regional Court and for more than one language also legalised at the relevant foreign embassy.
Patent translations call for a deep specialist knowledge of the subject or processes described in them; our patent translators have worked in the fields that the texts relate to and have many years of experience with this special kind of text.
By using highly developed translation memory tools we guarantee an optimum, efficient translation process, increase the consistency of the terminology used and guarantee consistent quality throughout.
This increasingly enables more and more time to be saved and cuts the cost of follow-up translations.
We prepare databases, glossaries and lists of technical terms – in intensive collaboration with our clients, if necessary: these also help to record the customer’s know-how.
